By GEORGE BERNARD SHAW
Directed by ERIC TUCKER

SAINT JOAN

THE STORY.

A teenage girl hears voices. She walks into a room full of powerful men and tells them they’re doing everything wrong.

Then she proves it.

Joan takes command of an army, breaks a siege, crowns a king, and terrifies almost everyone who helped put her there. Because Joan’s real threat isn’t that she can hear God. It’s that she doesn’t need anyone else to tell her what God is saying.

Church. State. War. Money. Power. Everyone has a reason to stop her—and everyone is absolutely certain they’re right.

Shaw’s Saint Joan is not a dusty history play about a saint. It’s a ferocious, funny, surprisingly modern showdown between an impossible young woman and the institutions that cannot contain her.

They need Joan to save the world.

They just can’t survive the world she wants to create.
