Mariah Anzaldo Hale (Costume Design) Received 2013 and 2019 Helen Hayes Award noms, 2014, 2019 DC Metro Arts Awards and the 2014 Carole Malik Award for Outstanding Costume Design. She most recently designed Natalie Merchant’s series “Cabinet of Wonders” with Chicago Children’s Theater, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and The Library of Congress. More than 30 years designing for Broadway, Off-Broadway, Nat’l Tours and Regional theater productions: Papermill Playhouse, Folger Theater, Cleveland Playhouse, Dallas Theater Center, McCarter Theater, Hartford Stage, Goodspeed Opera, Algonquin Arts Center. A produced playwright and 2025 NY International Screenplay awards winner for her series pilot screenplay, ASTREA. Which was also finalist in 2025 LA International Screenplay Awards, Austin Film Festival and Emerging Screenwriters Awards among others. Her Modern Language Adaptation of Behn’s classic play THE ROVER was published in early 2025 and can be found on Amazon.com and Kindle. Her “Jane Austen does Aphra Behn” Regency version of Behn’s The Feign’d Curtezans is set for publication in 2026.
