ELLA LOUDON

Born in Edinburgh and raised in London, Ella Loudon moved to NYC at 17. She trained at the Atlantic Theater Company, the Acting Studio, Shakespeare and Company, and with Harold Guskin. Her first professional stage role was as ‘Miranda’ in the show, The Tempest with Shakespeare and Company in 2017, earning a Berkshire Theater Critics Association (Berky) nomination. She spent three years in summer stock with them, playing ‘Banquo’ (Macbeth, directed by Melia Bensussen), ‘Guiderius’ (Cymbeline, directed by Tina Packer), ‘Phoebe’ (As You Like It, directed by Allyn Burrows, Berky Nominee), and ‘Viola’ (Twelfth Night).

Ella also played ‘Iago’ in an all-female cast of Othello with Harlem Shakespeare Company, performing at Taliesin West in Arizona (directed by Vanessa Morocco). Other notable stage roles include ‘Woland’ in Master and Margarita, ‘Marta’ in The Patsy, and ‘Indiana Elliott’ in the critically acclaimed opera Mother of Us All, directed by R. B. Schlather.

In film, Ella has worked on multiple shorts and features, receiving multiple film festival awards. Her projects include ManEater, Trauma in a Time Machine, If Martin Clunes Wore Lipgloss, Can’t Let it Go (a James Ivory production), Gold (music video), and her own award-winning music video Dreams.

Alongside acting and singing, Ella is an accomplished artist with her work featured in online and in-person galleries. She resides in upstate New York with her dog Friday and collaborates with Samantha Scaffidi on various projects as a writer, producer, and actress through their production company, Wayward Dreams.

Ella was honored when Tina Packer entrusted her to continue the work of Women of Will, aiming to keep Tina's voice alive while attracting a new audience to the theater with a fresh perspective.
